What’s inside the pupil Journal?

The book is written as a coaching programme; it helps children to learn about anxiousness; that it is not just about calming down or feeling nervous. The Journal shows them how they can change those intense feelings to a more useful state.

It uses children’s everyday experiences- friendship fallouts, feeling different, having difficult conversations, feeling panicky.

It shows what life can be like if you can manage your anxiety.

Children explore their experiences through activity pages, learn facts from fiction and gain Top Tips and strategies.

How do I use it?

There are 10 sections within the Journal. Each 30-45 min section can be:

  • Completed at their own pace in multiple mini sessions over the week or as a guided activity.
  • With siblings or done individually.
  • Requires no technology.

Your child will learn:

  • what anxiety is and how to change
  • fact vs fiction, top tips and strategies
  • what’s important to them
  • what life can be like if they manage their anxiety.
